Operating Cautions!
- Never attempt to insert the .22 long-rifle magazine in the rifle while the standard bolt group is installed in the rifle. Damage to the magazine will result.
- Never attempt to use the Unit in any AR-15 upper receiver that is not chambered for 5.56mm ammunition, or in any rifle not in good, serviceable condition.
- The M16/AR-15 bolt hold open feature will not work with the Unit. Visually inspect the chamber to insure there is no live ammunition remaining in the chamber when the magazine is empty. Some magazines may have a bolt hold open follower, but the Unit will close when such a magazine is removed.

Care & Maintenance
- After each use, visually inspect the chamber to insure no live ammunition remains in the chamber. The rifle should be cleaned according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Make sure you carefully clean the chamber and the barrel lugs. Failure to do so may prevent the .223/5.56 bolt from functioning correctly.
- Your conversion unit requires very little maintenance. It is best not to take your conversion unit apart for cleaning. Excessive or improper disassembly may bend the rails and cause your conversion unit to malfunction. Visually inspect your conversion unit's chamber to insure no live ammunition remains in the chamber. Remove your conversion unit from the rifle. Using a rag or cleaning patch and gun solvent, wipe your conversion unit clean of all carbon buildup and fouling; use a brush and solvent to clean around the extractor and a barrel brush and solvent to clean your conversion unit's chamber. Store your conversion unit in the case provided.
- Your conversion unit requires very little lubrication. One small drop of CLP or gun oil on the top of each rail where the parts slide is sufficient, Excessive oil on your conversion unit may result in buildup of fouling which may adversely affect your conversion unit's performance.
